As we announced last week, our Office Administrator Rebecca is moving on to a new role with Stats NZ. Her last day of work is tomorrow, with the new job beginning next week. We’ll hear from her about this in our service on May 19th. We’re glad to have a seamless transition in the role, with Beth Hwang already beginning in the Office this week! Beth will be employed 16 hours a week, and we’ll work at redefining her role together in the coming days.

Sadly, for the Associate Pastor position, the process is proving less seamless. We heard this week that our final applicant has responded to a church call elsewhere. So, we’re back to the drawing board, likely to re-advertise in the near future. We’ll continue to do our best to cover the gap between us, but we appreciate your patience as we do this on part-time hours (we both work 28 hours a week each for PBC). Please keep this vacant Associate Pastor position in your prayers.

Finally, this Sunday is an exciting one! It’s our annual EasterCamp feedback service where we get to hear testimonies of God at work in the lives of our young people. We will also be acknowledging Don Jellyman, honouring him for his decades of service in eldership at PBC.

Ngā mihi nui,
Elliot & Sarah
