The weather this week has certainly given us a range of experiences – from sun to snow flurries, rain and hail. Our service this Sunday will have a range of things happening as well.
Matariki, when the Pleides star cluster reappears in the sky, sends us a reminder to worship God in thankfulness for His provision, to sit in remembrance of those who have gone to rest in Him since the last time the stars renewed their presence in our skies and to rejoice in celebration with the people around us. We will get the chance to worship as we hear testimony of God’s faithfulness and join together in celebrating the Lord’s supper. There will be an opportunity to bring a koha of non-perishable food or make a donation towards Northcote School’s desire to raise money for uniforms. It’s also a time for us to remember to enjoy celebrating together so don’t forget to bring your homemade kites to be in for a chance to win a prize and an appetite to enjoy a sausage together after the service.
So much happening – see you Sunday!
