What’s your experience of the love of power or the power of love? What changes us from the love of power to the power of love? Paul’s life revolved around worship and prayer and from this place extraordinary power flowed through his actions of preaching, pastoral work, and writing. We learn that worshiping and praying to God results in actions of powerful love. In the Western church, there has become a dualistic belief that action which is done in the physical is opposite to prayer, which is in the spiritual. However, we are learning that the Gospel announcement comes out of a community worshiping and praying to God, which results in actions of powerful love. When we hear love, we think of Jesus on the cross, and then the power of God in the resurrection. How would these look when we live them out as a community?
